Experimental and Numerical Simulation Study of Pressure Pulsations during Hose Pump Operation

An adventitious flow field has a great impact on the operational reliability of pumps; therefore, it is important to study pump characteristics reduce noise, vibration, and cavitation performance pumps. To pressure fluctuation hose pump, three-dimensional two-way fluid structure coupling model was established. The transient structural module, (fluent) system module ANSYS Workbench 19.0 were used simulate unsteady multiple working conditions pump. accuracy calculation results from solid simulation verified via experimentation. show that roller pass frequency main at outlet When plane deformation recovery area small, pulsation amplitude large, speed are large. Due irregular backflow fluid, stall zones different sizes form, closer sinusoid when there no pressure. higher rotating is, faster leaving hose, pulsation, larger zone. Therefore, best way in optimize geometry change angle hose.
